Background
I am originally from the Melbourne area of Australia, where I first started loving designing, building, and renovating all sorts of projects, learning how to build with a large variety of media and in diverse styles. I have often been attracted to both typical construction of projects large and small, but also have a keen interest in projects that might be a bit more unique. Having worked building theme parks in Australia, building medical facilities throughout the nation of Laos, installing a mobile phone network in Laos, teaching construction management in Bhutan, supervising large size commercial building projects throughout Australia and Nepal I am fairly comfortable looking at a possible job from a variety of angles to be able to do the best job for my clients and keeping in mind their lifestyles, philosophies, tastes, and resources.

At an early age I was pulled into all sorts of building and creating and my versatility of skills and curiosities led me to work with building styles from around the world and eventually to work in Southeast and South Asia for years. While working in Asia, I became fluent in the Laos language and also became quite adept at being able to come up with creative solutions to building needs given a variety of constraints from limited resources, to cultural sensitivities involving the built environments, being able to weave in ideas often striving for sustainability, environmentally friendly materials or techniques, or whatever else was needed or wanted for a given project.

I have worked as a builder, designer, historic renovator, certified welder, a blacksmith, cabinet maker, and many other roles related to creating and building or teaching about the built environment. I have a passion for designing structures that will last and that fit the needs of my clients as well as being able to add both functionality and beauty to their world.
